Mulki is a panchayat town situated on the banks of holy River Shambhavi. The town of Mulki was earlier known by the name of Moolikapur and it is one of the famous pilgrimage places in India.  One of the main attractions of Mulki is Bappanadu Shri Durga Parameshwari temple, situated on the banks of River Shambhavi.  Bappanadu Dolu or drum is very famous and during the annual festival, the beating of these drums is enjoyed by people all over Karnataka.The Arasu Kambala (Buffalo Race) takes place in December is also very popular in Mulki.
